This 7-day itinerary will take you through the highlights of this enchanting country, from the bustling streets of Muscat to the serene deserts and lush mountains. Begin your journey in Muscat, where the grandeur of the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and the historic Mutrah Souq await. Venture out to the Dimaniyat Islands for a day of snorkeling amidst crystal-clear waters and colorful reefs.
Continue your adventure with a visit to Sur, famed for its dhow-building heritage, and hike through the breathtaking Wadi Shab, where hidden pools and waterfalls await. Discover the expansive Wahiba Sands desert, where you can experience dune bashing and a night in a traditional Bedouin camp under a star-filled sky. In Nizwa, step back in time at the Nizwa Fort and Souq, and explore the Jabreen Castle for a taste of Oman’s storied past.

Day 1: Arrival & Muscat Highlights
Arrive at Muscat International Airport and transfer to your hotel for check-in. Rest and freshen up before visiting the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, an architectural marvel with impressive interiors. Explore Mutrah Corniche for stunning views of the sea and city skyline, and wander through the bustling Mutrah Souq, known for its traditional Omani crafts, spices, and jewelry. Enjoy an authentic Omani dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 2: Bimmah Sinkhole & Wadi Bani Khalid
Drive to the striking Bimmah Sinkhole, 130 km, 1.5 hours drive from Muscat, a natural limestone crater filled with turquoise water, perfect for a quick dip. Continue to Wadi Bani Khalid (120 km, 2 hours), a stunning oasis surrounded by rocky cliffs and date palms. The pools here are easily accessible, making it an ideal spot for swimming and relaxation. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the wadi before driving to Sur (90 km, 1.5 hours) for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Sur, Wadi Tiwi & Wahiba Sands
Explore Sur’s historic dhow-building yard and its picturesque lighthouse. Drive along the coastal road to Wadi Tiwi (30 km, 45 minutes), known for its lush plantations and dramatic scenery. After lunch, head to the vast Wahiba Sands, where golden dunes stretch endlessly into the horizon. (160 km, 2.5 hours). Experience thrilling dune bashing, savor a traditional Bedouin dinner, and spend the night under the stars at a desert camp.
Day 4: Nizwa & Jabreen Castle
Drive to Nizwa (approx. 2.5 hours from Wahiba Sands), a city steeped in history. Visit Nizwa Fort, known for its massive circular tower and strategic significance. Explore Nizwa Souq, where you can shop for traditional handicrafts, spices, and dates. Visit Jabreen Castle, an elegant 17th-century fortress famous for its intricate carvings and stunning architecture (approx. 40 km from Nizwa). For a cultural touch, stop by the nearby Birkat Al Mouz, a historical village with ancient ruins and sprawling date plantations. Return to your accommodation in Nizwa for dinner and rest.
Day 5: Jebel Akhdar, Al Hamra & Misfat Al Abriyeen
Travel to Jebel Akhdar, approximately 50 km from Nizwa, to explore its terraced rose gardens, plantations, and the scenic Saiq Plateau. If time allows, we can visit Wadi Tanuf or take a short trek to Diana’s Point for panoramic views. Spend the afternoon at Al Hamra, another 30 km away, to visit Misfat Al Abriyeen, a picturesque village with ancient mud-brick houses and a traditional falaj irrigation system. Return to Muscat in the evening, covering a distance of about 170 km.
Day 6: Dimaniyat Islands
Depart for a full-day excursion to the Dimaniyat Islands, protected marine reserves ideal for snorkeling and wildlife spotting. Explore the vibrant underwater world with a guided snorkeling tour, marvel at colorful fish and coral reefs, and relax on pristine sandy beaches. Picnic on the beach with a light packed meal and spend the afternoon sunbathing or enjoying beach games. Return to Muscat for dinner at a waterfront restaurant.
Day 7: Departure
Spend a relaxing morning at Qurum Beach or visit the Amouage Perfume Factory for a unique insight into Omani luxury and perfume-making. Enjoy a meal at a restaurant in Muscat with local and international dishes before last-minute shopping at The Avenues Mall or local markets. Transfer to Muscat International Airport for your departure.

If you can find anyone else to replace you, there’ll be NO cancellation charges. We will then refund your money in full.
